Pro-Kurdish Democratic IslamCongress and The Middle East- Rahman Dag

For decades, the Kurdish question has undoubtedly been one of the most significant and hotly  debated research topics. As Kurds spread out across the Middle East, Turkey remains one of the  main countries in which the Kurdish question has taken its toll on both sides within an on-  going peace process. In addition to potential problems with obvious ethnic component, Islamic  movements and Islamism have become other prevalent currents of regional politics  attributable to the protracted Arab springs, the coup-détat in Egypt and the Syrian debacle. It is  within this context that, the imprisoned leader of the PKK, Abdullah Öcalan evoked a 'democratic  Islam congress and after gradual preparations, one was organized by the DTK in  Diyarbakir/Turkey and another one was in Hagen/Germany.
